Candle Making

Like soap making, candle making is an activity which boosts your creativity and can be a learning worthwhile experience to have in your spare time. it is not only a spare time activity but many of us peruse it as a hobby and some as a profession. In any way, candle making is a rewarding experience to have.

There are many methods to make a candle. What you need is a few basic ingredients, some molds of your choice and a plan to work on. The most popular type of candle making is done with the help of silicon molds and that has been in the practice since years. The silicon molds are effective in making candles and soaps and are easily available in any retail store down the line. They are very affordable and can give a amazing look to your candle or soap.

Keep the material like wax, wick, glitter, fragrance, silicon mold, ready at hand. Make a small hole in the bottom of the mold so that you would be able to insert a wick through that. Now add some glitter to the molds if you want and set the wicks in a proper position. Melt the wax by heating it upto 180 degrees. At this point of time when the wax has melted add fragrance and stir well. You can also add the color. To give your candles a catchy look you can make them in two or more colors by adding the colors step by step. When the melted wax is poured into the mold take necessary precautions to avoid contact with the bowl or wax. After pouring the wax let it cool in the mold which only takes a few minutes. When the wax is cooled and hardened you can take out the candles out of the mold by applying a bit pressure. Trim the candles for perfection id necessary.
